Dr. Roberta Fedele

Medical Director & Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Roberta Fedele is an Italian-trained Clinical
Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over 20 years of professional
experience, including more than a decade working in the UAE. She
specialises in psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy for
adults, adolescents, and children.

Dr. Fedele works with adults experiencing a wide range of
psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, bipolar
disorder, trauma, relationship challenges, and issues related to
personal development. She also has experience supporting individuals
with more complex presentations, such as psychosis, dissociative
states, and suicidal ideation.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and exploratory,
supporting individuals in understanding the underlying emotional
processes and behavioural patterns influencing their experiences.
Therapy typically begins with exploratory sessions to clarify
concerns, define therapeutic goals, and develop a personalised
treatment plan.

Dr. Fedele also provides therapeutic support for children and
adolescents from the age of 4, working with a variety of emotional
and behavioural presentations, including anxiety and separation
anxiety, low mood and depression, emotional dysregulation and anger
difficulties, attachment-related issues, trauma and stress-related
concerns, low self-esteem and self-image difficulties, social
withdrawal, school-related anxiety and refusal, psychosomatic
symptoms, and self-harming behaviours.

Her work with young people includes play-based therapeutic
interventions, psychoeducation, and parental guidance. She also
offers family mediation and specialised therapeutic support through
the “5 Under Teen Service,” inspired by the Tavistock Clinic model
and delivered within BPS services.
