Specialist Neurologist
Dr. Daniela Semedo is a Consultant Clinical
Psychologist with over 18 years of clinical experience across
Portugal, the UK, India, and the UAE. She holds a PhD from the
University of Edinburgh, with a specialist focus on the early
detection and intervention of psychosis.
Dr. Semedo works with preteens, adolescents, and adults, providing
integrative and evidence-based psychological treatment. Her clinical
experience spans a wide range of emotional and psychological
difficulties, including trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and
complex mental health presentations, with particular expertise in
psychosis.
Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, relational, and
collaborative, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe and
supportive environment in which clients can explore emotional and
behavioural challenges. She integrates a range of therapeutic
modalities tailored to individual needs, including Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT),
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), neuropsychological approaches,
and mindfulness-based interventions.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Semedo is a Senior Lecturer
and clinical supervisor, contributing to the training and
development of future psychologists.
